Betsy has over 30 years of experience in business and leadership and has lived by this quote for most of her life “The best way to predict your future is to create it.”― Abraham Lincoln.

Innovation and passion have been the driver of her career and many interests. After college, she spent the first years of her professional life working in health insurance as a medical underwriter and analyst. Working closely with the insurance medical team comprised of nurses and doctors, she created new polices that determined coverage of advancing medical treatments of the day. It sparked an interest in health and healthcare that never left her.

Destiny led Betsy to a three-year adventure helping her husband run a small business in Ohio. They drove to work each day with their yellow Labrador retriever in tow.

Wearing many hats, heavily focused on Human Resources, she learned the rewards and challenges of running an operational business. Eventually another adventure led her in a different direction.

Always yearning to see and experience the world, Betsy accepted a position at American Airlines in 1996 and spent the next 20 years learning many aspects of aviation and travel. It was sheer focus and innovation that propelled her quickly into management positions. She was consistently promoted within and gained valuable experience in Reservations, Human Resources, Workers Compensation and Global Sales. She is best known for her positive and “Tigger like” disposition and inclusive management style, which earned her accolades such as “Manager of the Year” and the coveted “Global Sales Award”.

Feeling that she had accomplished what she set out to do in the world of travel, Betsy left American Airlines in 2016 to pursue a calling. The journey was one of many winding roads, but is best described by this quote:

“When the need for something; a sense of purpose, better health, a relationship or expressing authenticity; becomes greater than the need for security, comfort or the approval of others, the choice is clear. You embrace the unknown”.

After adopting plant-based diet in 2012, passion and innovation led to a new direction. Betsy’s experiences in the health-care system combined with her “life- coach-like” management style have now come together in her mission to teach others about the miraculous healing effects of a plant-based diet. She takes a supportive, interactive approach in teaching others how to take charge of health and successfully implement lifestyle changes. Betsy offers personal coaching to motivated and committed individuals, and wellness workshops to companies and community groups.

Her greatest regret is that she was not able to help her mother in time, who died of colon cancer in 2016. Her greatest delight is that her sister has recently adopted a plant-based diet and amongst the many health improvements has thwarted the second by-pass surgery her doctors were convinced was inevitable.
